MOSCOW. April 14 (Interfax) - At least 22 trillion rubles will be allocated for the Russian state armaments program for 2024-2033, Andrei Yelchaninov, first deputy board chairman of the Russian Military-Industrial Commission, said in an interview.
"We expect that the financial indicators of a new state program will not be lower in absolute figures, despite all the specifics of the economic situation in the country. The funding for the analogous program for 2010-2020 amounted to 21.2 trillion rubles. The current state program for 2018-2027 is worth 21.7 trillion rubles. Based on this trend, we expect that the funding of a new state armaments program would amount at least to 21 trillion-22 trillion rubles," Yelchaninov said in an interview published in Rossiiskaya Gazeta.
Yelchaninov said in an interview with Interfax in December 2020 that a new state armaments program for 2024-2033, which both the Defense Ministry and the Military-Industrial Commission board were working on, might take into account work on the PAK DA, a sixth-generation long-range bomber, an advanced helicopter for the army air force, and weapons for them.
