LPR reports increase in number of Ukrainian army attacks

LUHANSK. April 14 (Interfax) - The militia of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) has recorded an increase in the number of attacks mounted by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the press service for the militia said.

"Information from observers at the LPR mission to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination indicates that the number of attacks launched by the Ukrainian Armed Forces has grown over the past day," the press service said.

It tied the surge in the Ukrainian army's attacks to a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbas due to take place on Wednesday.

LPR representatives said earlier that the Ukrainian Armed Forces mounted eight attacks targeting the territory of the self-proclaimed republic in the past day, in particular targeting the districts of Zolote-5, Lozove, Molodezhne, Pervomaisk, Zhelobok, and Kalynove. These strikes used 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different types, and small arms.
