MOSCOW. April 15 (Interfax) - The claims of the United States that Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) engages in cyberespionage are both meaningless and unsubstantiated, Federation Council Foreign Affairs Committee first deputy head Vladimir Dzhabarov said.
"Of course they're unsubstantiated. What, the papers wrote that some agency did this and that at the behest of the SVR? That's nonsense, of course," Dzhabarov told Interfax on Thursday, commenting on the U.S. accusations.
"They're trying to accuse our valiant Foreign Intelligence Service of such deeds at any cost. This is meaningless talk, which has no substance to it. They won't even listen, and we aren't going to explain ourselves," he said.
