WASHINGTON. April 15 (Interfax) - The U.S. Department of the Treasury has reported the inclusion on its sanctions list of 15 Russian citizens in retaliation for Russia's "malign behavior," in particular, for carrying out cyberattacks, for elections interference, and for the situation in Crimea.
Among the people on the list are Alexander Malkevich, president of the Foundation for National Values Protection, Kirill Shcherbakov, owner of the company Trans Logistik, Maria Zueva, general director of the company Yunidzhet, and her deputy Artyom Stepanov. The U.S. authorities suspect all these people of being connected to Russian businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin.
The sanctions have also affected Konstantin Kilimnik, who the U.S. authorities believe is a Russian intelligence services agent, and Denis Tyurin, who, according to the U.S. Department of the Treasury, is connected to the information agency InfoRos, which is under sanctions.
According to earlier reports, the sanctions apply to First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration of Russia Alexei Gromov.
