Russian Foreign Ministry describes NATO countries' reaction to U.S. sanctions on Russia as 'sign of vicious bloc discipline'

MOSCOW. April 16 (Interfax) - The reaction of NATO countries to the new U.S. sanctions in relation to Russia is a sign of vicious bloc discipline, as decisions are made under a command, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova told reporters.

"The chain reaction by NATO countries in support of U.S. sanctions is a sign of vicious bloc discipline, where decisions are adopted not based on real facts, but under a command, demonstrating pseudo-solidarity. This isn't solidarity, not even campaigning. This is 21st-century vassalage," Zakharova said.

This is how Zakharova commented on the recent expulsion of Russian diplomats and the summoning of Russian ambassadors by several NATO countries, which followed the declaration by the U.S. of new anti-Russian sanctions.
