Poland has no grounds to expel Russian diplomats, Russia will retaliate - Duma's Slutsky

MOSCOW. April 16 (Interfax) - Poland's decision to declare three Russian diplomats personae non gratae is baseless, and Russia's response will follow, State Duma Foreign Affairs Committee head Leonid Slutsky said.

"I'm sure there was no real reason to expel our diplomats. This latest demonstrably Russophobic gesture only worsens the abyss in Russian-Polish relations, which one can only regret. As ever, we'll retaliate," Slutsky told journalists on Thursday.

"Warsaw is behaving like a true vassal of the U.S., trying not to lag behind its big Washington brother in anti-Russian rhetoric and escapades. This is an echo of the U.S. sanctions," he said.
