MOSCOW. April 16 (Interfax) - Russia will add eight high-ranking officials from the United States to its sanctions lists as a retaliatory measure and publish this list on Friday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"As for individuals, a while ago, prior to the recently announced package [of sanctions], the U.S. side added eight representatives of Russian entities, representatives of the leadership, including the presidential office and the Prosecutor General's Office, to a sanctions list. Today, we're publishing a list of eight officials representing governing structures of the administration in Washington, D.C., as well, they will also be included on our sanctions list," Lavrov said at a press conference on Friday.
