MOSCOW. April 19 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian consul in St. Petersburg, Oleksandr Sosoniuk, detained by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), wanted to acquire secret databases on Russians in mid-March, the FSB said on Saturday.
"The man was searching for databases on Russian citizens. He was interested in residential registrations, cars, license plates. Also, the FSB data and a database of criminal cases," the FSB said in a video released by its public relations center.
Sosoniuk wanted to acquire these databases in the middle of March, it said.
