Palestinian-Israeli conflict directly concerns Russian security interests - Putin (Part 2)

MOSCOW. May 14 (Interfax) - The escalated Palestinian-Israeli conflict directly concerns Russian security interests, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with permanent members of the Russian Security Council on Friday.

"I'd like to ask colleagues to speak about the unfolding situation in the Middle East. I mean the escalated Palestinian-Israeli conflict. This is happening in the immediate vicinity of our border and directly concerns our security interests," Putin said.

He also proposed that the provision of security of the Russian financial system be discussed.

"Today we will speak about the provision of our interests and the security of Russia's financial system in light of national cyber currencies developing in the leading states of the world. These are serious issues that require close professional consideration," Putin said.
