Armenia ready for clarification of border with Azerbaijan, suggests both sides withdraw troops -Pashinyan

YEREVAN. May 14 (Interfax) - Acting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has called for the country's border with Azerbaijan to be clarified.

"We are ready to clarify the border points. We are faced with this necessity, this has to be clarified to see where the border passes, who can stand where," Pashinyan told the parliament at an emergency meeting on the situation in the Syunik region on Friday.

Only border troops should be deployed on both sides of the border, he said.

"Armed Forces units must return to base. We're ready for such a decision. If there is a border with only border troops on both sides of it, that would mean an entirely different military-political situation," Pashinyan said.
