Armenia's acting FM to attend CSTO ministerial council meeting in Dushanbe - Armenian Foreign Ministry

YEREVAN. May 17 (Interfax) - Armenian Acting Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian will attend the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), which will be held in Dushanbe on May 19, the press service for the Armenian Foreign Ministry said.

The meeting will address the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the ministry told Interfax.

Armenia earlier appealed to the CSTO regarding the violation by the Azerbaijani troops of the republic's state border. Armenia's Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also asked Russian President Vladimir Putin for military assistance.

Pashinyan said on Monday that tensions were increasing on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
