Incomplete analysis of correlation between U.S. words and deeds is sole hindrance to Russia's consent to Putin-Biden summit - Deputy FM Ryabkov

MOSCOW. May 19 (Interfax) - The only remaining hindrance to Russia's consent to organize a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his U.S. counterpart Joe Biden is the unfinished analysis of correlation between U.S. words and deeds, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Wednesday.

"Strictly speaking, our incomplete analysis as to how the statements made by the United States correlate with their actions is hindering us. This is the only hindrance," Ryabkov told reporters in response to Interfax's question.

Agreements regarding the summit might still be reached in the near future and will be reported by the Foreign Ministry, he said.

"I think we will bring those reflections to a conclusion in the near future and, perhaps, certain agreements will be reached," Ryabkov said.
