Pashinyan proposes setting up trilateral commission involving Russia to demarcate Armenian-Azerbaijani border

YEREVAN. May 20 (Interfax) - Acting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has confirmed that Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia are preparing to set up a trilateral commission to delimit and demarcate the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

"A proposal has been formulated to set up a trilateral commission which would address these issues. This document has been on our desks for nearly two days. As we don't have diplomatic relations with Azerbaijan, this process should proceed in a trilateral format [involving Russia]," Pashinyan said at an extraordinary parliamentary session on Thursday.

Yerevan's firm position is that Azerbaijani Armed Forces must leave Armenian territory, he said.
