Azerbaijani president says his county responded to Armenian army's provocation on border

BAKU. May 28 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has said that the Armenian army committed a provocation on the border, and it was not to be left unanswered by Azerbaijani troops.

"Unfortunately, the Armenian side does not give up on its provocative actions. If we see the slightest threat to the security of our people and state, we will immediately destroy the enemy. They know and see our might. This is why the provocation committed by the Armenian army on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border recently was not to be left unanswered, of course," Aliyev said at a meeting with the public in the city of Aghdam on Friday.
