UN to provide financial assistance to Armenia

YEREVAN. June 2 (Interfax) - The United Nations will provide $230 million as financial assistance to Armenia, the Armenian government press service said.

Acting Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and UN Resident Coordinator for Armenia Shombi Sharp signed the agreement entitled "UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for Armenia 2021-2025," under which the funds will be provided.

"Over the next five years, the UN will provide financial assistance totaling $230 million to Armenia. This is a strategic document to determine the activity of all UN agencies in Armenia over the next five years," the press service said.
