Rogozin to invite NASA to cooperation in movie production on board ISS

MOSCOW. June 15 (Interfax) - Roscosmos and NASA will discuss the possibility of cooperation in the course of production of the Vyzov (Challenge) movie on board the International Space Station (ISS), Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin said.

"I am ready to discuss even this project, Vyzov. Later today we will speak with the Americans about ways to make their participation in this project more active. They could give an opportunity of filming the U.S. segment or a U.S. astronaut," Rogozin said in an interview with the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio.

"The opportunity space is vast. We can come to terms if there is a good will," he said.

The media said earlier that Roscosmos Executive Director for Manned Space Programs Sergei Krikalev had been dismissed for criticizing the movie project. Rogozin said later that Krikalev might keep his job and had been offered to head a new entity, which would be supporting the ISS operation.

Rogozin also said that the project had caused debate inside the corporation, however, that did not bother its leadership, which did not view criticism as a reason for dismissals.

The Cosmonaut Training Center said on May 24 that film director Klim Shipenko and actress Yulia Peresild would be prepared for flying to the International Space Station in a two-stage process.
