Putin, Biden to talk for as long as necessary - Peskov

MOSCOW. June 16 (Interfax) - The agenda of the Russia-U.S. negotiations is too vast to be fully covered within four or five hours of negotiations between the two presidents, so they will hold talks for as long as they deem necessary, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"No one is setting any time limits on the presidents. This will be completely their choice. Expediency is the most important thing. The agenda is so vast that it will be extremely difficult to cover it in four or five hours of talks," Peskov said on Channel One.

Peskov was asked whether the absence of the one-on-one format on the summit program could mean that the U.S. president is afraid of his Russian colleague.

"No, absolutely not. In fact, the conversation will begin between the two presidents, Foreign Minister [Sergei] Lavrov, and the secretary of state. If they think it's necessary to speak one-on-one, they'll speak one-on-one," Peskov said.
