MOSCOW. June 17 (Interfax) - OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid will visit Moscow on June 21 and will meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
"The foreign minister is due to meet with the OSCE secretary general on June 21, as she will be visiting Moscow to attend the 9th Moscow Conference on International Security at the invitation of the Russian defense minister," Zakharova said at a press briefing.
The agenda covers a broad range of current OSCE operations in three security dimensions: military-political, economic-ecological, and human rights, Zakharova said.
"There are plans to discuss the role of this organization in the settlement of regional conflicts in its territory. This includes, in particular, the domestic Ukrainian settlement process in Ukraine, and OSCE coordination of the activity of the Contract Group where representatives of Russia and the OSCE are assisting Kyiv, Donetsk, and Luhansk in the fulfillment of the Minsk Package of Measures," Zakharova said.
The sides will also discuss the current state of affairs in the Transdniestrian and Karabakh settlement processes and the Geneva consultations on stability in the South Caucasus, she said.
