MOSCOW. July 7 (Interfax) - Estonian Consul in St. Petersburg Mart Latte has been declared persona non grata and must leave Russia within 48 hours, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
"Estonian Charge d'Affaires a.i. to Russia Ulla Uibo was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry on July 7. Russia declared its strong protest over the collection of intelligence incompatible with diplomatic status by Consul Mart Latte of the Estonian Consulate General in St. Petersburg," Zakharova said in a statement published on the ministry's website.
"Said official of the Estonian consular mission has been declared persona non grata and must leave the Russian Federation's territorywithin 48 hours," she said.
