Kremlin hasn't received any requests from Belarus for deployment of Russian troops - Peskov

MOSCOW. July 30 (Interfax) - The Kremlin has not received any requests from the Belarusian administration for the deployment of Russian troops to the country, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"There have been no requests from Belarus on this matter. You know that this is only possible after an official request from the administration of one country to the administration of another country. There are procedures envisaged by the law and powers envisaged by the law for that," Peskov told reporters.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Friday that he is ready to allow Russian troops to deploy in the country if it is necessary for the security of the Union State.
