BAKU/YEREVAN. July 30 (Interfax) - Chairperson-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde has urged Yerevan and Baku to fully honor their obligations under the trilateral agreement of November 10, 2020.
"Reports of repeated incidents along Armenia-Azerbaijan border causes grave concern. [I] urge sides to build on recent humanitarian steps and implement Nov[ember] 9 [10] statement in full to address unresolved issues peacefully," Linde said on Twitter.
The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group for settling the Karabakh conflict earlier called on Armenia and Azerbaijan to start direct bilateral talks under the aegis of mediators.
The Armenian Defense Ministry said on July 28 that there were local armed clashes in the northeastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border near the communities of Sotk and Verin Shorja in the Gegharkunik region. Yerevan said three service members were killed and five others wounded.
Acting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Thursday invited Russia to deploy border guard outposts along the entire Armenian-Azerbaijani border and post a Collective Security Treaty Organization monitoring mission there.
