MINSK. Aug 4 (Interfax) - The deepening of bilateral integration with Russia within the Union State framework will be the chief vector of Belarus' policy in 2021-2025, according to the Belarusian socioeconomic development program approved by the president. The program was published on the national legal web portal on Wednesday.
"The state policy will aim to develop mutually advantageous economic integration in the Union State, the EAEU [Eurasian Economic Union] and the CIS, as well as to strengthen the strategic partnership with China, and to broaden economic relations with other states. The chief vector is the deepening of bilateral integration with the Russian Federation within the Union State framework, while providing national interests," the document said.
The program defines as main criteria of integration with Russia the provision of equal terms of economic operations, energy consumption, market access, participation in public procurement, and use of financial instruments.
Belarus also aims to create a full-value economic union in the EAEU in order to ensure free movement of goods, services, capitals and workforce without barriers, exceptions and restrictions.
"The primary objective of the national development in 2021-2025 is the provision of social stability and the growth of public prosperity through economic modernization, enlarged social capital, and creation of comfortable conditions for life, work and self-actualization of people," the document said.
