London imposes sanctions on Belarusian potash, oil products - document

LONDON. Aug 9 (Interfax) - The government of the United Kingdom announced on Monday that it is imposing extra sanctions on Belarus, particularly on Belarusian potash and petroleum products.

"The package includes: Aviation measures to prevent Belarusian air carriers from overflying or landing in the UK and a prohibition on the provision of technical assistance to President [Alexander] Lukashenko's fleet of luxury aircraft," the government said in a statement on Monday.

The document also outlines "trade measures on potash, petroleum products, interception and monitoring goods and technology, goods used in cigarette manufacturing, and dual-use goods and technology," it said.
