ALABINO, Moscow region. Aug 23 (Interfax) - Russia will improve its network of naval bases and will develop the country's naval potential, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a ceremony laying down the keels of new ships and submarines, which was held at the Army 2021 forum on Monday.
"We will continue developing Russia's naval potential, improving the network of bases and fleet infrastructure," Putin said.
Russia "will equip ships with the newest weapons and equipment and will practice achieving complex combat training tasks on long sea missions," he said.
"We will demonstrate the Russian flag in strategic areas of the World Ocean," Putin said.
