KUBINKA, Moscow region. Aug 23 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and King of Jordan Abdullah II have taken a look at cutting-edge samples of Russian military hardware displayed at the Army 2021 forum.
According to video footage, the king of Jordan and the Russian president were shown advanced Russian tanks, including a T-14 Armata, a Pantsir-S short-range air defense system, an Uran-5 robotic sapper system, Uran-9 combat robot, and Orion-E and Forpost-R unmanned aerial vehicles.
Putin said later, when opening talks with King Abdullah II, that they were shown only "some weapons which we use, which our army uses and which we export."
"As I have already said today, direct contacts with colleagues from the Armed Forces of other countries bring us closer, raise the level of trust. Maybe, it is even more important than a demonstration of weapons, though it is also important for the strengthening of stability," Putin said.
