Book of export orders for Russian weapons, hardware for ground forces stands at some $5 bln - Rosoboronexport head (Part 2)

KUBINKA, Moscow region. Aug 24 (Interfax) - The book of export orders for Russian weapons and military hardware for ground forces stands at approximately $5 billion, Rosoboronexport head Alexander Mikheyev told Interfax.

"Hardware and weapons for ground forces account for around $5 billion within the book of orders," Mikheyev said.

The hardware and weapons include anti-tank missile systems, anti-tank guided missiles, multiple launch rocket systems, armored hardware and armored vehicles, missile and artillery weapons, bulletproof vests and bulletproof helmets, small arms, and ammunition, he said.

Such orders also involve upgrading military hardware and setting up workshops to perform major overhauls of tanks and infantry fighting vehicles.

Mikheyev said on Monday that the book of export orders for Russian weapons currently stands at $52.1 billion.
