MINSK. Aug 30 (Interfax) - The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will hold consultations on the situation surrounding Afghanistan in September, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said.
"Therefore, we have spoken to Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin today, I also want to talk to [Uzbek President Shavkat] Mirziyoyev on the situation in the region to have a clear picture before the CSTO session. And everyone has agreed with my proposal to hold consultations in the CSTO and the SCO. Everything will be in Dushanbe, the leaders will be there. And it would be important for us to see what position the SCO will take," Lukashenko said during a meeting with Tajik Ambassador to Belarus Makhmadsharif Khakdod on Monday.
