YEREVAN. Sept 3 (Interfax) - Armenia is ready for demarcation and delimitation of its border with Azerbaijan, Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan told reporters on Friday.
"As regards delimitation and demarcation, Armenia is ready for it, but no such work is currently in progress. We are awaiting Azerbaijan's reaction," Grigoryan told reporters on Friday.
Hopefully, Azerbaijan's response will also be positive, and "there will be an opportunity to start demarcation and delimitation as soon as possible in order to more rapidly resolve the crisis on the border," he said.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said earlier that Baku wants to sign a peace treaty with Yerevan and to start the border delimitation process, but a response to these proposals has yet to be received from the Armenian side.
