Uncontrolled expansion of Pentagon's biological infrastructure near Russian borders causes concern - Russian Investigative Committee (Part 2)

KHABAROVSK. Sept 6 (Interfax) - Russia and the world at large are concerned about the expansion of U.S. military biological laboratories in the vicinity of Russia, deputy head of the Russian Investigative Committee Alexander Fedorov said.

"Both Russian specialists and the international community are concerned about the uncontrolled and unbridled expansion of external biological infrastructure of the U.S. Department of Defense in countries adjoining Russia and situated near the Russian borders," Fedorov said at the Khabarovsk Process: Historical Lessons and Modern Challenges forum on Monday.

"Those who may be working on new methods and means of biological warfare or hatching such plans should remember about the fate of Japanese criminals who developed and tested bacteriological weapons [during WWII]," Fedorov said.
