MOSCOW. Sept 6 (Interfax) - An Indian contingent has arrived in Russia to take part in the Zapad 2021 strategic military exercise, Russia's Western Military District said on Monday.
"A military contingent from India will participate in the Zapad 2021 joint strategic exercise at the Mulino training range in the Nizhny Novgorod region using military hardware provided by the forces of the Western Military District," the district's press service said.
The military district, however, declined to say how large the Indian contingent is.
According to the press service, Indian servicemen landed at Nizhny Novgorod's airport and were then transported to a regional military training center in the village of Mulino. The Indian personnel will stay in a field camp which is equipped with all necessary amenities for accommodation and joint training, it said.
