BAKU. Sept 6 (Interfax) - Joint Azerbaijani-Turkish tactical maneuvers involving a live-fire exercise began in the Lachin district on Monday, Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry said.
"The training exercise is being held as part of an agreement on military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey. The main objective of the maneuvers is to further develop interaction and combat cohesion during military operations, including the development of commanders' skills to make military decisions and to coordinate units," the Defense Ministry said.
During the exercise, focus is being placed on advancing the skills of operating modern military hardware and other weapons amid challenging terrain.
