Preparations underway for meeting of Normandy Four FMs - Ukrainian Foreign Ministry

KYIV. Sept 9 (Interfax) - Preparations for a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Normandy Four countries are ongoing, and the sides are now negotiating a date that will suit all parties, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said at a press briefing in Kyiv on Thursday.

"Preparations for a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Normandy format countries are continuing. Our French and German colleagues are now trying to find a date that will suit all parties. I very much hope that [Russian Foreign Minister] Sergei Lavrov will confirm his participation in this meeting. We have plenty to discuss," Kuleba said.

Ukraine, France, Germany, and Russia participate in the Normandy format talks on Donbas.

"A videoconference of advisors to the leaders of the Normandy format [countries] took place yesterday. That means that certain movement on the Normandy track has resumed now that the summer is over. And we are ready to hold this ministerial meeting as soon as possible. In other words, as regards its contents, we don't need to prepare anything, because we're ready for this discussion at any moment. What counts most is that Mr. Lavrov decides to sit down at the negotiating table and finds time in his busy schedule," Kuleba said.
