MINSK. Sept 9 (Interfax) - The heads of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states will sign an agreement on the equipment of the Collective Forces with modern weapons and hardware at their meeting in Dushanbe on September 16, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov said.
"Much headway has been made on equipping the CSTO collective security forces, and I hope that a document will be signed at the meeting of the heads of state on September 16," Borisov told reporters following a meeting of the Interstate Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation between CSTO Member States.
"We have signed a number of important documents, which will promote the integration of and joint actions by our states in the provision of collective security. The situation is particularly stressful today due to the known events in Central Asia," Borisov said.
The Interstate Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation between CSTO Member States will hold its next meeting in Moscow, he said.
