MOSCOW. Sept 9 (Interfax) - Russia hopes that the pause in the talks on reinstating the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran nuclear deal, will not be further prolonged, although there are no specific dates for when the consultations might resume, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told Interfax following consultations with U.S. Special Envoy for Iran Robert Malley.
"Unfortunately, there are no specific dates," Ryabkov said in response to a question when the negotiations in Vienna might be resumed.
"This is one of the disquieting issues. We insistently urge all parties to make a decision," Ryabkov said, adding that "a lot depends on the Iranian side in this respect."
"We would like to hope that this pause will not drag on," he said.
