Russian and Iranian presidents discuss situation around JCPOA, anti-Covid measures

MOSCOW. Sept 14 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi discussed the situation surrounding the Iranian nuclear program and the fight against Covid-19 during a phone conversation.

"The parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to strengthening mutually beneficial Russian-Iranian relations in different fields. In particular, they noted the successful development of trade and economic ties and well-organized interaction in countering the coronavirus infection," the Kremlin press service said in a statement.

Putin and Raisi discussed several topics on the international agenda, including the situation around the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on the Iranian nuclear program, it said.
