Necessary precautions were taken before Putin's meeting with al-Assad - Peskov

MOSCOW. Sept 15 (Interfax) - All epidemiological safety measures were taken before the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

During a meeting with journalists on Wednesday, Peskov was asked whether al-Assad, who earlier visited Moscow and met with Putin, who later went into self-isolation, had been vaccinated against coronavirus.

"I am not Bashar al-Assad's press secretary. All necessary precautions were undoubtedly taken," Peskov said.
