Armenia, U.S. to develop military cooperation

YEREVAN. Sept 15 (Interfax) - Armenian Armed Forces General Staff Chief Artak Davtyan has met with the newly appointed military attache of the United Stated Embassy in Yerevan, Gregory Pipes, the Armenian Defense Ministry said.

"The parties reiterated readiness to develop Armenian-U.S. military cooperation, emphasizing the need to continue ongoing programs and engage new, mutually beneficial tracks," the press service for the Defense Ministry said.

Davtyan and Pipes discussed the situation that developed following the war in Nagorno-Karabakh in the fall of 2020 and issues dealing with the reform of the Armed Forces, the press service said.
