MOSCOW. Sept 16 (Interfax) - The foreign ministers of Russia, Pakistan, China, and Iran will hold a quadripartite meeting to discuss the situation in Afghanistan in Dushanbe on Thursday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
"A quadripartite meeting of the foreign ministers of Russia, China, Iran, and Pakistan is scheduled, during which they will discuss a number of problems on the international agenda, including the situation, of course, in Afghanistan," Zakharova said at a press briefing.
"The parties intend to actively contribute to the Afghan settlement, in particular, to the creation of conditions for an intra-Afghan dialogue, an inclusive peace process," she said.
The aide to the Iranian foreign minister is expected to attend the meeting, Zakharova said.
