MOSCOW. Sept 24 (Interfax) - The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has approved the indictment against Magomed Nurov, a member of the Vagabov gang and a defendant in the case on the terrorist attacks carried out at Moscow metro stations Lubyanka and Park Kultury in 2010.
"The indictment has been approved in the criminal case against Magomed Nurov, who was involved in the terrorist attacks committed on March 29, 2010 at Moscow metro stations Lubyanka and Park Kultury, which killed 39 people," the press service for the Prosecutor General's Office told Interfax on Thursday.
Nurov has been charged with being a member of a criminal group and a gang, with perpetrating terrorist attacks, and illegal manufacture of explosive devices.
According to the investigation, Nurov, acting as a liaison for the gang, repeatedly transported its members in his car to their gatherings, at which they planned to stage bomb attacks in the Moscow metro, and hid a participant in the terrorist attacks from law enforcement agencies.
Nurov has pleaded guilty, the Prosecutor General's Office said.
His case will be sent to the Second Western District Military Court, it said.
Nurov was detained in the spring of 2019 in Dagestan. The Russian Federal Security Service's public relations center said that he was involved with the Vagabov gang, whose members staged the terrorist attacks in the Moscow metro.
On the morning of March 29, 2010, two bombs went off in the Moscow metro: the first one at the Lubyanka station and the second at the Park Kultury station. As a result, several dozen people were killed, and about 100 suffered injuries of varying severity.
