Kremlin counting on continuity in relations with Germany (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Sept 27 (Interfax) - The Kremlin is counting on the continuity of Germany's policy on Russia after the new German leadership is formed as a result of parliamentary elections.

"We are expecting continuity in our bilateral relations," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Peskov admitted the existence of certain differences between Moscow and Berlin. "However, we share an understanding that problems can and should be resolved through dialogue," he said.

"As we understand, the coalition forming process is a lengthy and complex one, so we will wait and see," Peskov said.

The elections in Germany, the largest country in Europe, have attracted attention of the entire world, including Russia, he said.

Peskov added that Germany is a major investment and trade partner of Russia and said that Moscow is interested in continuing those relations.
