Russia intends to increase sales of gunsights to Serbia

BELGRADE. Oct 11 (Interfax) - Russia hopes to increase the supply of gunsights to Serbia in the coming years, Director General of Shvabe Holding (a Rostec company) Alexei Patrikeyev said.

"Serbia is a promising market for us. The interest of consumers in quality scopes is fairly developed here, and the demand for high-tech products is growing. We intend to increase our presence in this and nearby geographical regions in the coming couple of years," Patrikeyev was quoted as saying by the Rostec press service.

The Shvabe director general said the company currently exports to Serbia primarily gunsights and parts, including civilian-purpose ones.

The Partner 2021 international defense exhibition began in Belgrade on Monday. Rosoboronexport is organizing a unified Russian display there. Shvabe Holding is displaying collimator, optical, and prismatic gunsights, as well as accessories, there.

"SM-N1 and N2 collimator sights, the 1-5x24 KMZ pancratic sight, and also a line of sights of the Vologda Optical and Mechanical Plant for hunting and sports shooting are being displayed in Belgrade for the first time. The list of exhibition participants also comprises the Lytkarino Optical Glass Factory with a lightweight mirror made of silicon carbide," the press service said.

The Shvabe display also includes products of the Krasnogorsk Factory named after Zverev (KMZ), the production association Orion, the State Optical Institute named after Vavilov, the Photon Central Design Bureau, the Moscow plant Sapfir, the State Institute of Applied Optics, the Optical and Mechanical Plant named after Yalamov, the Novosibirsk Instrument-Making Plant, the Zagorsk Optical-Mechanical Plant, and the Polyus Research Institute of Stelmakh.
