Ivanishin leaving cosmonaut unit - Cosmonaut Training Center

MOSCOW. Oct 15 (Interfax) - Pilot cosmonaut Anatoly Ivanishin is finishing his career in the Russian cosmonaut unit, the Cosmonaut Training Center said.

"Today, October 15, 2021, is the last working day of Anatoly Alexeyevich Ivanishin in the Cosmonaut Training Center," it said.

The cosmonaut has terminated his contract of employment with the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, as he plans to devote more of his time to scientific work, the center said.

"The administration of the center, his colleagues in the Roscosmos cosmonaut unit, and the staff of the Cosmonaut Training Center wish Anatoly Alexeyevich Ivanishin success in his new work, noting his high professionalism, responsibility, and commitment to goals," it said.

Ivanishin is the 112th cosmonaut in Russia and the 522th cosmonaut in the world. He joined the cosmonaut unit in 2003. He has done three space flights, which lasted in total 476 days, four hours, and 42 minutes.
