KABUL. Oct 18 (Interfax) - Joint working groups have been put together based on outcomes of negotiations between delegations of Uzbekistan and the Taliban (terrorist organization banned in Russia) in the southern Uzbek city of Termez, Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman of the so-called Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, said last Saturday.
"A roadmap will be finalized within the next ten days and presented to the leaders of both parties for making a decision," Mujahid said on Twitter.
A Taliban delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Salam Hanafi arrived in Termez on Saturday for negotiations with a high-level Uzbek delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Sardor Umurzakov.
"The parties discussed the expansion of bilateral trade with Uzbekistan, especially an increase in the amount of supplies of fuel and primary necessities during the upcoming winter, the allocation of transit facilities to Afghan entrepreneurs, and cooperation on healthcare and electricity supplies, particularly regarding a power transmission line to link Sarkhan and Pol-e-Khomri," Mujahid said.
The delegations also substantively discussed the construction of a railroad to link Mazar-e-Sharif, Kabul, and Peshawar, he said.
