Emergency meeting of Donbas TCG security subgroup set for Tuesday cancelled

LUHANSK. Oct 19 (Interfax) - Yasar Cevik, Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) coordinator of the security subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) for settling the conflict in Donbas, has notified representatives of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) that the subgroup's emergency meeting originally set for Tuesday will not take place because of the absence of Kyiv's consent, LPR foreign minister Vladislav Deinego said.

"In the absence of a consensus regarding the convention of a meeting, no extraordinary consultations of the security working subgroup will take place today," Deinego said in a statement on Tuesday.

Luhansk has updated its proposals and asked for convening an extraordinary meeting of the subgroup on Wednesday, he said.
