BLAGOVESHCHENSK. Oct 19 (Interfax) - Buk air defense missile systems of the air defense unit of the Amur combined-arms formation of Russia's Eastern Military District have repelled a mock enemy's attack on strategic military facilities.
"The mock enemy's units made an attempt of a mass aerial attack using unmanned aerial vehicles. Electronic launches were made to destroy the aerial targets. A Buk air defense missile system allows to track up to six targets simultaneously," the Eastern Military District's press service said.
Over 30 drones were 'destroyed' during the drills. The exercise involved several hundred troops and over 50 weapons and pieces of military equipment.
