MOSCOW. Oct 20 (Interfax) - Afghanistan is hoping for assistance from foreign countries, including Russia, in peacebuilding and post-conflict recovery and does not need military assistance, Abdul Salam Hanafi, deputy prime minister of the country's interim government formed by the Taliban (organization recognized as terrorist and banned in Russia), said.

"We don't need foreign military assistance, we need support for peace in Afghanistan, the recovery of Afghanistan," Hanafi, who is leading the Taliban's delegation to Moscow, told reporters, responding to a question from Interfax as to what military or security assistance Afghanistan expects to receive from Russia and third countries.
