Center formed jointly with Russia to train air force, air defense specialists starts working in Belarus - Belarusian defense minister

MOSCOW. Oct 20 (Interfax) - The center established in Belarus jointly with Russia to train air force and air defense specialists has begun working, Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin said at a meeting of the joint board of the two countries' defense ministries on Wednesday.

"Work is underway to set up centers in Belarus and Russia to jointly train units of our states' armed forces," Khrenin said.

"The testing of the organization of joint combat alert missions on air defense as part of the joint regional air defense system of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation that took place this month may already be recorded as an asset for the functioning of the center for joint training of the air forces and the air defense forces," he said.
