Moscow, Minsk extend agreements on Russian military facilities in Baranovichi, Vileika - Shoigu

MOSCOW. Oct 20 (Interfax) - Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin signed documents extending the agreements on two Russian military facilities in Belarus on Wednesday.

"Today, my colleague and I signed protocols extending the agreements on the presence in the territory of the Republic of Belarus of Russian military facilities, a missile attack warning radar in the city of Baranovichi and a Navy radio station in the city of Vileika," Shoigu said.

The documents were signed at a joint board meeting of the defense ministries of Russia and Belarus in Moscow.

"The results of today's meeting confirmed again that the defense ministries of Russia and Belarus see eye-to-eye on interaction in the defense sphere and that we are committed to solving practical tasks to ensure the military security of the Union State," Shoigu said.
