MOSCOW. Oct 20 (Interfax) - Jailed opposition politician Alexei Navalny has lost his appeal against a court's decision to throw out his libel lawsuit against Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, a Moscow City Court official told Interfax.
"The Moscow Presnensky [district] court decision of August 10, 2021, is left without changes, the complaint against the decision, without satisfaction," the official said.
Navalny wanted to sue Peskov for claiming that the opposition leader was collaborating with Western security agencies.
Navalny is serving his prison sentence in the so-called Yves Rocher case in the Vladimir region.
