Lebanese FM says planning to visit Moscow - newspaper

MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax) - Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib has told the Kommersant newspaper in an interview published on Sunday that he is planning to visit Moscow but the visit date remains unknown for now.

"Yes, Moscow is on my travel list, but I do not know when exactly this visit will be paid," Bou Habib said in response to a question whether he was planning a trip to Moscow.

The World Bank believes that the current financial and economic situation in Lebanon might constitute one of the world's top three worst crises since the middle of the 19th century: there is practically no power supply in Lebanon, and the local currency has depreciated, Kommersant said. Lebanon needs international assistance in order to stabilize the situation. Still, it has been unable to reach an understanding with the International Monetary Fund and other donors, Kommersant said.
